Wallingford Senior squad is a growing and aspirational group. The squad encompasses a broad range of experience and the aim is to develop that talent pool and win at the highest level; we are actively seeking athletes to join this group and particularly welcome those with rowing experience.
The Wallingford Senior Squad welcomes anyone who would like to train and race. We are focused on providing for maximum participation while supporting crews and individuals who wish to compete at all levels. The current squad has a wide range of ability from novices, recent university rowers to those looking to compete at Henley Rowing Regatta. Water training mainly takes place at weekends and the squad follows a structured land training program during the week that is flexible to fit around study or work.
The squad competes at all the major national events, and aims to race several crews at Henley Royal Regatta. In recent years the squad has had success at regattas held at Eton Dorney (Marlow and Metropolitan) and Pairs Head. We also aim to race at a range of regattas to ensure that there is engaging racing at all levels.
