Wallingford Rowing Club came away with 10 wins out of the 18 crews entered at the annual Burway Juniors & Masters Regatta last weekend.

Amongst the winners was Will Mangion who won his first race in the J14 single sculls 'A' group, whilst fellow club member Seb Newman won the J14 singles 'B' group (both groups being randomly selected due to the popularity of the sport at this age). There were two other first wins for Billy Lines (cox) and Alex Baxter, both members of the WJ15 coxed quad with Lucy Walker, Lauren Shannon and Jess Shuttleworth.

Wins in double sculls crews from Tom Brock & Dan Wilkinson in the J16 event, Seb Newman & David Willcox in J15 event and Katie Metalli & Maddie Newman in the WJ17 event, beating Eton Excelsior by just 1 foot. Women's single scullers also dominated by winning the WJ17, WJ16 & WJ15 events from Alice Walker, Georgia Mulraine and Lucy Walker respectively.

A particularly 'fun' part of the day was the Masters/Juniors double sculls event which saw father & son, Tim & Tom Brock, winning the Masters/J16 event and father & daughter, Anthony & Georgia Swiatoniowski, reaching the final of the Masters/J14 event. Another father & son combination who reached the semi-finals was Ian & Dan Wilkinson. Dan already having reached the final of the J16 singles in the morning.

The club was also represented by the girls J14 squad of Poppy Dawe, Ani Cook, Georgia Swiatoniowska, Jessica Polkey & cox Billy Lines in the quad and Jossy Shannon & Abi Rumble, in their first ever race in the double scull, who reached the semi & quarter finals respectively.
